MMR Single vaccines
The Mono Component Vaccine Course (MonoVac)
At Choice Healthcare we strongly believe that children should be vaccinated against these quite serious illnesses, however we do believe that parents should be given the choice to vaccinate their children with an individual vaccine.
We offer a course of mono component vaccines for Measles, Rubella and Mumps (MonoVac).
To have individual vaccines, your child should be at least 13 months old. There is no upper age limit.
The order in which the vaccines will be given is left to parental choice, while we offer the best advise and options based on up to date research.
The gap between each vaccine will be decided after a consultation with the consultant or doctor.
The recommended gap between each vaccine is three months, as long as they are administered in the order of Measles, Rubella, and Mumps. However if you would prefer a longer period between each vaccine, we will respect your right to choose any period over three months and up to a year apart.
Measles Only
Children are most vulnerable to Measles and some parents may feel that they would prefer to have only this vaccine. This option is still your choice and your request to do this would need to be submitted in writing. However in line with Department of Health guidelines, Choice Healthcare recommend all three vaccines over a chosen period of time.
A booster for the separate vaccine is recommended at pre school age. (3 1/2 to 5). We can also arrange an immunity anti body test at your request. We advise that you have a full medical consultation before having the test. We can arrange a pre-school immunity antibody test at your request.
