MMR Vaccines - Information
MMR Vaccine contains a mixture of live, attenuated (weakened) Measles, Mumps and Rubella (German Measles) Viruses.
It works by provoking the body's immune response, without causing the diseases. The Government recommends that all three vaccines be given to a child in one injection.
However we believe in offering you the choice.Which is why we offer an alternative to immunising your child with a single component vaccine.We provide the option of having an interval between each vaccine, and unless otherwise stated we begin the course with the Measles component. Once the course of all three vaccines (Measles, Rubella and Mumps) is complete you will receive a written document as required by the Department of Health. This Document will contain details of the Batch number, expiry date and the make of the vaccine. This form is for the attention of your GP to update his records.
